About Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis remains one of the most fascinating phenomena of the human mind.
Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration and change.
It is a state where the subconscious and conscious parts of the mind begin to work on the same concept without conflict, and is a very natural and wonderful state of relaxation.
Hypnotherapy utilises this natural relaxed state of mind to help you reach your true potential or to change unwanted behavioural patterns or habits.
It is a natural and gentle way of treating all kinds of emotional and psychological problems including phobias, panic attacks and stress.
You will be guided into a deep state of relaxation, where the mind and body can completely relax and let go of tension. Clients report feeling calm, light, focused, peaceful and sleepy. You will not be asleep, unconscious or manipulated in any way.
You will be very relaxed but still totally aware and focused on my voice and what is being said. Hypnosis does not have any particular feeling and there is no special sensation that can be identified with, but there are common feelings that are reported by the majority of people such as tingling, heaviness, calm, peacefulness and wellbeing.
Most people do not realise they have been hypnotised until they are coming out of the hypnotic state at the end of the session, they may feel nothing special during their session; this is a normal response as Hypnosis is a natural state that we may enter throughout the day, such as when we are engrossed in a book and do not hear noises around us.
After a Hypnotherapy session, most people have a renewed sense of direction or purpose. Most clients report feelings of happiness, relaxation, positivity and calm.
